Correct but for me a major difference with Coufal is that unlike say, Repka and Dicks, he's hard but an altogether different level of skill. Unbelievable bit of business.

Soucek just ahead of Rice, Coufal would be 3rd.
Ogbonna an honorable mention, as well as Antonio, Dawson and Cresswell.
Just a bit further back but worth a mention would be Fornals, Bowen, Fabianski and Benrahma.
To be fair though it would be hard to find a player who has not pulled there weight or been a bit shit this season! been a while since that occurred.......

In a game ruined by wet blankets and utter fucking tarts (a bit like this forum) Coufal has been a breath of fresh air. A proper old school, no nonsense RB who also happens to be seriously good.

Like others have said, there are a number of excellent candidates. My choice changes daily. Today I will plump for Ogbonna. He was unlucky not to get it last year. He’s been superb this year again and only missed ten matches so that shouldn’t count against him. Also got the important second goal on Wednesday.

Rice has probably been our best player, but then he is our best player. So in that respect he deserves it, however he is the most talented and I think that counts against him when those with lesser ability step up and do so well.
Soucek’s form dipped when Rice was injured, but his partnership with Rice I wouldn’t swap for any central two in the league. His goals have been invaluable too.
Coufal is just so lovable. I’m not sure there has been a player I have loved so much so quickly. Almost always makes the right decision, has a killer cross on him that’s got him a number of assists. Just needs to be a bit braver when in shooting positions. Hopefully he’ll score with the crowd there. Makes me wish he experienced the old crowd at the old ground.
Cresswell would get the most improved player if there was one, he’s been outstanding this season after many idiot fans wrote him off. Slots into a back 3 brilliantly and like Coufal has a number of good assists to his name.
Ogbonna and Dawson would be shoe ins in other seasons if there wasn’t so many good candidates. Injury to Ogbonna showed how much he was missed after forming a solid partnership with Dawson. Dawson himself shocked everything with his form.
I’m so torn. I’d be happy with any of the first 4. I’ll probably vote for Coufal though, just to see his little proud face

Not many years its such a difficult choice.
1. Soucek, plenty of reasons but his goals made a huge difference to our season
2. Rice far and away the best player we’ve had for a while

Makes you wonder if Antonio had stayed fit (a fantasy I know) what he might have achieved as a goal tally this year

Should be Ogbonna in my opinion but his performances will have been forgotten after a few games out injured. He has been immense as he was last season. Soucek stands a good chance as does Rice again. Coufal and Cresswell have had an impact.
